RC Stargazers NEWS:

10/24/07 - Comet Holmes outburst.  Also happened back in 1892, and was how it was discovered.  Will be keeping an eye on this one!

10/15/07 - Samantha was nominated for Associate Membership into the Springfield Telescope Makers. 

9/26/07 - Trying out a new planetarium program, similar to Starry Night, called Stellarium.  It's FREE, and has some nice features, with others in the works.  For more information see Stellarium's website.  Seems to work pretty well.  I'll post if I decide not to keep it.

8/11/07 - Samantha was asked by Stellafane mirror class coordinator Jay Drew, if she would consider helping teach at the mirror class this winter.  Samantha quickly accepted, so she'll be on Breezy Hill, too!   Sign up at the Stellafane Mirror Class page

8/11/07 - Samantha's 1st Place Scope!  Samantha won both the Optical and Mechanical Junior Competitions at Stellafane.  We were told by a Stellafane member, in a discussion after the competition, that if she's entered as an adult, she still probably would have placed at least 2nd or 3rd in the optical competition.  It's a great scope!  Congratulations, Samantha!

8/9-8/12/07 - RCS at Stellafane.  We attended the annual Stellafane convention as well as pre-con.  A great time was had by all..

8/4/07 - Samantha finished her scope today, just in time to take to Stellafane.  She's exited, and can't wait to put it into the competition.

7/14/07 - It's official, I (Dave) am going to be one of the assistant instructors for the Springfield Telescope Makers Mirror Grinding Class, starting in October.  Sign up at the Stellafane Mirror Class page
